SYNOPSIS

This is a drama that unfolds in the Baixada Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro. Young João has just been hired as a waiter in a restaurant on the Dutra highway. He recently moved to the outskirts of Rio, joining his older brother Luís, who is already settled in the city and a rising employee at the establishment.

João, who brings with him simple and true feelings and aspirations, needs to get used to his new life, having his friendship with his brother as his greatest balance board. All those born in his small village in the interior receive the surname Caraíba, thus becoming all brothers.

He meets and identifies with a group of young motorcycle couriers and motorcycle girls who hang out in the square in front of her house, a group of which Maria is a part.

A few days after arriving in the city, João ends up getting involved in a fight after hearing a xenophobic comment at work. The conflict escalates for the assistant waiter because Luís, who had just been promoted to manager, not only does not defend him, but also becomes part of the aggression against him. João, expelled from the place and abandoned by the one who was his greatest reference, is taken in by Maria.

From then on, he follows his own path, rebuilding himself on new foundations through the relationship of complicity and affection that he builds with the motorcycle girl, through which they heal their wounds and become stronger. However, the conflict in the restaurant involving the brothers will have unexpected consequences.

All These Days I'm a Foreigner is an urban chronicle about young characters living with the feeling of being a foreigner in their own country and in the process of displacement and transformation of their fears.
